Buying
Who is 805 Mining?
805 Mining Services LLC is a California company based in Atascadero, CA. We sell new and used ASIC miners, offer hosting, custom firmware, and consulting for mining sites. Our team has over 20 years of combined experience in crypto and 4+ years in ASIC sales.
Where do your miners come from?
Our miners are held on consignment from the manufacturers, and we order as needed. USA stock is held for us in California on the same terms. This keeps us lean, which protects our customers and us when the market turns down, as it often does in crypto.
Are your website prices current?
Miner prices can change several times a day, especially when bitcoin moves fast. We confirm your final price after you order. For the most up-to-date price, contact us before you buy.
When is the best time to order?
Late evening, around 9–11 PM Pacific. That's when our Hong Kong team and the manufacturers there start their day, so orders and quotes move fastest.
Do you offer bulk pricing?
Yes, case by case. Bulk pricing usually starts at pallet quantities, around 20 units or more. Under 10 units isn't bulk pricing, but you can use a creator code to lower your price. Contact us for a bulk quote.
Payment
What payment methods do you accept?
Crypto (300+ coins, with no fee from us), credit card, and wire transfer. For wire details, email sales@805mining.com.
How do I know a payment link is really from 805?
Every real payment link includes "805mining" or "805CryptoServices". Our crypto payment page (NOWPayments) shows our name. If anything looks off, contact us directly at sales@805mining.com or +1 (951) 598-1515 before you pay.
Shipping, DDP and customs
How long does shipping take?
Hong Kong stock usually arrives in 1–2 weeks. USA stock arrives within the week.
What does DDP mean, and is it available for me?
DDP stands for "Delivered Duty Paid": the seller arranges shipping and pays import duties, so there are no surprise charges at your door. We offer DDP case by case, and its cost is included in our shipping cost. If DDP doesn't cover your country, we'll contact you before you pay.
Do I get tracking?
Yes. We send tracking as soon as it's available. It's a manual step, so it can take 24–48 hours to reach you. USA orders are much quicker.
What will I receive after I order?
A confirmation email with your invoice details, then a payment confirmation, then tracking as soon as it's available.
Warranty, DOA and returns
Do new miners come with a warranty?
New miners are covered by the manufacturer's warranty only. 805 Mining doesn't add a warranty of its own unless the product listing says so. Typical lengths for new units:
| Brand | Typical warranty |
|---|---|
| Bitmain (Antminer) | About 1 year |
| MicroBT (WhatsMiner) | 1 year |
| IceRiver | About 180 days |
| Canaan (Avalon) | Check with Canaan |
These are typical, not guaranteed. Terms vary by model, region and where the unit was sold, so please verify with the manufacturer before you buy. Bitmain lets you check a unit's warranty by serial number.
Who repairs my miner if it breaks?
For warranty repairs, the manufacturer. We may be able to help send parts to the manufacturer for repair, but we can't guarantee it. Honestly, we usually recommend a third-party repair shop instead: they tend to have lower scrap rates and faster turnaround.
What if my miner arrives dead (DOA)?
Only used units sold by 805 can come with a DOA, and the listing states the terms. Most used units we sell have a 7-day DOA, starting on the day the unit arrives (based on tracking). Depending on the problem and the machine, we may send replacement parts, replace the machine, or refund you after the unit is returned to 805. New units are covered by the manufacturer's warranty only, with no 805 DOA. If a used listing doesn't mention DOA, there isn't one.
To make a claim, contact sales@805mining.com within the 7 days and send:
- a video of the miner
- its serial number
- a screenshot of the miner's dashboard, if possible
- photos of any physical damage
Can I return a miner?
No. All sales are final. The only exception is the DOA cover on used units sold by 805, where the listing states it.
Used miners
Do you sell used miners?
Yes. We have used miners in USA stock, for example S21 Pro units from 220 to 245 TH/s and S21 XP units. Prices are on each listing. Some used units are already hosted in the USA and can stay hosted after purchase.
Are used miners tested?
Yes. Every used miner is tested before it's palletized for storage, and checked again before it ships. We don't grade condition, but we verify that each unit works.
Are bulk used miners a good fit for me?
If you have cheap power, bulk used machines can pay back faster than new ones because the purchase price is lower. Ask us for a quote and we'll share current options.
Firmware
Do you offer custom firmware?
Yes. 805 Mining firmware is $50 per machine when bought with a new miner, or $100 with a control board replacement. We also do custom teardowns for immersion.
Is there free firmware for the Z15 Pro?
Yes. Our Z15 Pro / Non-Pro firmware is a free download with a 2.5% dev fee: 805-mining-z15-firmware.
Will custom firmware void my warranty?
It can. The manufacturer's warranty may not cover units running third-party firmware. Check the manufacturer's rules before you flash.
Home miners
Can I mine at home?
Yes, with the right machine. Home miners are smaller, quieter and run on a normal outlet. Full-size miners like the S21 Pro draw about 3.5 kW, are loud, and usually need a 240V circuit, so most people host them. Browse our home miners.
Hosting
How much does hosting cost?
Air-cooled hosting at our partner sites in Iowa and Idaho is 7.75¢/kWh for 1–19 machines and 7.5¢/kWh for 20 or more. It's metered: you pay for the power your miner uses, and there's no separate management fee. Upfront, you pay a $50 setup fee per machine bought through 805 ($100 per machine you bring) plus one month of power as a deposit. For one S21 Pro that's about $246. See the hosting page.
Is there a contract?
Yes. Hosting runs on a 12-month term, with 30 days' notice to end it and a minimum of one machine.
What happens to my deposit?
We hold it as collateral to cover the cost of shipping your machine back when hosting ends. Whatever isn't needed for that is refunded to you.
Can I see how much power my miner uses?
You'll be able to see your usage through Foreman. That's coming soon.
Am I charged when my miner is down?
No. We bill by the kWh, and a machine that's off uses no power. Our SLA is 97%, and our sites have averaged about 99% uptime.
Do you host hydro miners?
Not right now. Hydro hosting is coming back after a move to a new site. Contact us to join the waitlist.
Who runs the hosting sites?
We partner with two air-cooled hosting sites, in Iowa and Idaho. We don't operate the buildings ourselves; 805 is your single point of contact.
Do my mining payouts go to my own wallet?
Yes. You give us your own pool and wallet address, so rewards go straight to your wallet. We never hold your rewards.
What if my hosted miner breaks?
We'll attempt an onsite repair first. We can't guarantee the outcome. Beyond that, the warranty rules above apply.
Do you help build mining sites?
Yes. We offer consulting, project management, site maintenance and turnkey solutions for crypto or AI farms. Some entire sites in US regions are available with power as low as 3.5¢/kWh all-in; the minimum order is a full container, roughly $1.2M each. Contact us for details.
Still have a question?
Ask us. We'd rather help you pick the right machine than sell you the wrong one.
